“Today the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists and indeed our
profession mourn a genuine Caribbean heroine Dr. Grace
Allen-Young who, through her courage and by her example, helped
lay the foundation for our organization. Besides being a woman
of great courage and tenacity, the late Dr. Allen-Young
demonstrated, by example, the virtue of selfless service to the
profession.
As we honor the life of Dr. Allen-Young, we should not limit our
commemoration to lofty eulogies. Instead, let us commit
ourselves to carrying on her fight, one solitary act at a time,
and ensure that her passion for pharmacy continues to inspire as
we recommit to our professional organization. That, in my view,
is how we can best thank her for her immense contributions to
Caribbean pharmacy.
In this time of lost we extend our prayers for God’s comfort to
her husband Rupert, her extended family and friends.
2 Timothy 4: 7 - 8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award
to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have
longed for his appearing.
Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory”

“Yes, Dr. Young has left a tremendous legacy both personally, as
well as professionally….. Just remember that the love we share
is good, but never greater than the love of our Father. Heaven
rejoices at the entrance of another angel. Though our flesh may
weep, our spirit rejoices with heaven's hosts.”

“….Despite the time frame, it is the same case with Dr.
Allen-Young and myself, I met her briefly and over the course of
a few minutes I understood and realized so much for her and that
I was indeed in the presence of a great person, woman and
professional colleague. I could have only wished to have known
her more; she was a unique and genuine person especially in her
professional field. We have indeed lost someone too soon but she
will never be forgotten….”
Marisol G. Melhado RPH, Belize, Central America
“I
so well remember the first time I met Grace, when she visited my

invested in our regional and global pharmacists. We've lost a

I would like to
add my own note of sadness in the passing of Grace Allen-Young.
She carried herself with such regal presence, yet was so sincere
when once met.
On behalf of my past wife Erica I just want to say thank you,
and mourn with her husband Rupert so that he will be comforted.
Matthew 5:4
Blessed are they that
mourn: for they shall be comforted.
